Zeiss LSM 880 Airyscan Fast UV inverted confocal microscope

The LSM 880 Airyscan Fast UV is a versatile inverted confocal system built on a Zeiss Axio Observer, designed for super-resolution, spectral and long-term live-cell imaging. Its core innovation is the Airyscan Fast detector, a 32-channel high-sensitivity array that delivers super-resolution imaging with excellent signal-to-noise. This is complemented by a GaAsP array detector for spectral imaging, enabling variable emission collection, spectral analysis and spectral unmixing.

With eight laser lines, including UV excitation at 355 nm, an environmental chamber and a motorised stage for multi-location work, the system is well suited to demanding live-cell and multi-position experiments.

  • Laser lines: 355, 405, 458, 488, 514, 561, 594 and 633

  • Detectors: Airyscan Fast 32-channel detector and GaAsP array

  • Objectives: 10x water, 20x, 40x oil, 63x oil and 63x oil UV-VIS-IR

  • Airyscan Fast super-resolution imaging

  • Spectral imaging and spectral unmixing

  • UV excitation (355 nm)

  • Motorised stage for multi-location imaging

  • Environmental chamber with temperature and humidity control and CO2 supply

  • Definite Focus to prevent focal drift from vibrations or temperature fluctuations during lengthy experiments
